Wow! It enormity of this ride hit me today. I got up and made it to church for the first time in a while. I will admit that I have not been "worshiping" in the traditional manner the last couple months. Trying to ride multiple days with back to back to back 100+ mile rides has prevented me from going to church. However, as most of you that know me know, I consider each bike ride as a unique worship service. I am amazed by Gods wonderful earth and the neat things that He puts out for us to see if we will take the time to look for it!
Anyway, I made it to church in time and was pleased to be able to stand and sing God Bless America and America the Beautiful. I was overcome with emotion as I attempted to sing these two songs. (My apologies to those I was sitting next to as I know I sounded awful!) It hit me and hit me hard that I will truly be living "America" over the next month. I am very very blessed and lucky to have the opportunity to see our Great Land first hand.
I hope yall have a wonderful and safe Independence Day!
